Last year, I made a drastic change in the way I shoot. I shoot more, I follow the emotions/actions through, and I get closer; I became a photojournalistic wedding photographer. It’s not that I wasn’t before, but I didn’t feel that journalistic part. I certainly do now and my clients love it. Better yet, they deserve it! Last year, I also signed up to become a member of the WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association) and was accepted. I entered in my first quarterly contest and won my first award.
This portrait is from Joy and Beth’s wedding at St. James’s Episcopal Church in West Hartford, CT. Here’s to many more winning images! Thank you to Joy and Beth for letting me document your special day.
