For this CT wedding photographer, 2015 was a year of change, a year of learning new things, and a year that made me realize what I was worth.
The start of the year was a bit rocky and uncertain, but I took the initiative and signed up for two workshops; Somewhat back to back. The first was with JVS from Chrisman Studios. It was a lighting workshop in NYC. I made some new friends and learned how to control the light during the wedding day to make it work for me; to make me stand out.
I don’t want to create just any wedding picture for my couples, I want to create a piece of art. Something different! I want to make sure my couples receive something different and unique they are proud to showcase.
The second workshop was with Davina and Daniel of Davina + Daniel. I admire their work very much because they are incredible artists. They are not your ordinary wedding photographers. With them, I would learn how to tell a better story, take a better picture, and look for unique perspectives.
These two workshops helped me a lot, but I still have a lot to learn so the workshops will continue. Because of these workshops, I’ve secured myself more weddings for 2016 than 2015.
I travelled a lot also for weddings and second shooting opportunities. A lot of my second shooting opportunities, came from Steven Young of Stak Studios, a brilliant photographer. Next year, I have a wedding in St. Augustine and Annapolis to name a few and ore in the New England area. Thank you to all my 2015 couples and teachers.
I won’t bore you with more, so here is a recap of a few of my favorite images from 2015 from this CT wedding photographer.
