Adam and Rob’s Saville Dam Engagement Session has been seen on Love Inc’s website, and now it’s my time I share them as well. When they were picking their engagement session location, I gave them some help in narrowing down where we would go. They live in the DC area, so it’s tough trying to plan from afar. They wanted a place that had water, was quaint, had lots of trees, and colonial. We set on Saville Dam and it was perfect. Connecticut has lots of great locations but Adam and Rob made the right choice.

I had never been to Saville Dam, but that doesn’t stop me from getting to know a place and doing an engagement session or wedding. I like a clean canvas and getting to explore new surroundings. Adam and Rob had never been there as well, so we were on the same playing field. Their Saville Dam Engagement Session turned out amazing. The weather was perfect, the was hardly anyone there, and it made for a great afternoon walk for their Saville Dam engagement session.

I’d like to share their proposal story:

Adam’s first comment about the proposal? “It was like herding a cat!” On the day of the proposal, it was a gorgeous winter day with blue skies and sunshine … a break from the cold snap D.C. had been suffering. Adam took Rob out to brunch with a few of their friends whom they hadn’t seen in a while, which made it all the more special.

The couple then took a walk to Georgetown to get macarons and coffee and sit out on the Potomac—”Rob loves all things French,” adds Adam. They walked down to the bank of the river, and that’s when it happened.

Rob says, “We sat down by the water to see the kids feeding the ducks and that’s where Adam launches into a bit of a prepared talk, reaching into his pocket and producing a black box with a ring inside. I was keenly aware of everyone watching and was beet red from a mixture of embarrassment and over-brimming happiness.” From there, they strolled around the park a little bit longer, enjoying their new status of engaged.

Adam and Rob were married at Adam’s parent’s Campground on Oct 11. 🙂 Enjoy these portraits from their Saville Dam engagement session.
